Club History
Westlands FC are a newly formed football club started early 2015 initially with a couple of parents trying to get their kids playing football in a controlled manner and to try to start to teach some basic skills whilst having fun at the same time.
We formally created the club mid 2015 with a new under 7’s team and an existing under 15’s team when we joined the North Staffs Junior League. We enlisted help from a few other volunteer parents wishing to take part and we now have 6 volunteer FA approved (Level 1) coaches and a fully qualified Club Welfare Officer which also help to run the soccer school for ages 4 – 9. A great source for our future club teams.
Each season our plans are to set up a new U7’s team and our existing teams will be moving up a year.
The focus of Westlands has always been about the kids having a good time and learning some football on the way.
All monies raised for The Club goes to providing the facilities, equipment, end of year party with trophies for the kids, Easter eggs etc.
We hope that by the end of next season we will be applying for FA Chartered status which will take us to the next level of amateur football clubs.
Please feel free to contact me or any of the Club Officials if you have any questions or concerns
